Since 2005 Mike Rose has been the trumpet player for the GROOVE Doctors, a dance party band located in the San Francisco Bay Area. On Mike’s bio page on the GROOVE Doctors web site you will see much information about Mike’s 30 plus year career in music, but the bio page won’t tell you what an incredible trumpet player Mike is. Mike is probably the best trumpet player I have ever heard outside of Maynard Ferguson, a trumpet player known for the high-pitched notes he could hit who I saw live in the mid 70′s in Saratoga, CA.

Mike sets a very high standard for himself and sometimes after gigs he will feel he didn’t play his best.
